Our History

Tarikhology was founded on the belief that the truth is the most important facet of life. To know what is true is to know the past, live in the present and prepare for the future.

Formally known as Muntaha Al-Ghayah & Al-Ghayah Foundation (2020-2022) till the relaunch as Tarikhology in 2023, our aim as an organisation was to embody the religious spirit of Islam in “Enjoining what is good and preventing evil” in the local community.

In 2020, We started as a duo, meeting at University with the sole aim of doing good for our fellow classmates and student body. This essentially grew and our work was successful to the point that we decided to continue our work in the local community.

We slowly started to grow and started our first campaign in helping the homeless across London with food and our famous ‘Da’wah gift-set’. We ended that campaign by helping over 500+ across Greater London.

2021 – 2023 saw us launch our mobile App and Website, highlighting our work for everyone to see. We fundraised on behalf of charities like Save the Children UK, published literature on Islam and launched our YouTube channel amongst other things – check our gallery for more info!

2023 saw a rebranding of our name from Muntaha Al-Ghayah & Al-Ghayah Foundation to Tarikhology, as we decided to go back to the roots of Da’wah as well as academia and experience (we have sadly discontinued the app but will relaunch it soon!)

In 2024 we have our flagship show, the Tarikhology Podcast available on YouTube, Spotify alongside a new edition of the Misrepresented Prophet by Mohammed Aminoor Rahman.

Our Mission Statement

“Tarikhology, where history is simplified and the truth is unapologetic”

The word Tarikhology is a creation of the CEO and is an amalgamation of two words, the Arabic ‘Tarikh’ (meaning history) and the Greek word ‘Logos’ (knowledge). When combined the name refers to ‘the study of history’.

Our mission is to:

-       Work towards improving the local community through events and exhibitions

-       Raising awareness of history and the importance of academia

-       Provide research on Islam and comparative religion (through apologetics)

-       Encourage entrepreneurship and education through collaboration

-       Encourage interfaith dialogue

-       Be a charity that actively provides for the community, not just take from it
